And the winners are…

The first lucky Shtetler drawn for the eight front row seats for the ORT Azey! Yiddish concert was Rabbi Ari Kievman, who is the Director of Chabad House-Chai Seniors at the The Jewish Learning Institute at the New Shul at Village Walk. Mazeltov! We will contact you tomorrow about delivering your tickets.

Rabbi Kievman wrote the following in his entry: “O(r)t Azey! Pun intended. This is one exciting trio of My Shtetl, OrtJet and the Yiddish Song Festival which is associated with CJSA enhancing the quality of life for Cape Town's Jewish elderly population. I have seen first hand what they do and commend their amazing work. The combination and coordination of three important organizations is a gratifying and encouraging example to everyone how together we can achieve more.
“Wishing you much hatzlocha!” wrote Kievman, signing off with “Less oy - More joy!” we hope that this prize gives YOU much joy!
There are still a few tickets left for this must-see concert, but they are selling fast. Check it out by clicking HERE FOR MORE INFO.

The second prize-winner for the week is the lucky winner of the first of three weekly prizes of a copy of best-selling author Sharon Lurie’s new cookbook, Celebrating With The Kosher Butcher’s Wife.

Mazeltov to a long-standing Shtetler (she was number 897) “celeste85.” She wrote: “I am about to start the process of kashering my kitchen. This would be a brilliant addition to my new kitchen... I would love my first kosher cooked meal to come from this book! I've been dying to invite friends over for a kosher meal, and this book sounds perfect for that :)”

While what entrants write is in no way relevant to whose name gets pulled out of the hat, their comments are fun to follow. Celeste85, please send an email to info@myshtetl.co.za telling us what message you would like Sharon Lurie to write in the book for you, and let us have a delivery address so we can ask Nussbaums to drop it off for you.

All entrants in this competition remain in the draw for the next two weeks – so if you have already entered, hold thumbs for next Wednesday’s draw. If you haven’t, THERE ARE STILL 2 COPIES TO WIN so enter NOW!

This is fabulous news! Thank you!

Thanks for enabling me to assist even more seniors to enjoy the concert, free of charge. I am indebted to Nicci for already arranging for free tickets so that many older adults who wouldn't otherwise afford the admission to the Ort Azey concert to get sponsored tickets. The response has been overwhelming. Now with this win I am able to help even more people enjoy an evening of fun and a real yiddish experience. Ot Azey! A Groisen Dank! Yasher koach, dankie, ngiyabonga kakhulu! See you at the concert;~)

Sincerely,
Rabbi Ari Kievman
