EINA!

We did this exercise in reverse a few months back when Shtetler Mick in Toronto reported that they had a huge heat-wave in the middle of our winter. They say more folks die of heat exposure most years in Canada, than deaths from cold. One forgets how brutally hot their summers can be – albeit for a short time.

Most Shtetlers living in SA (or Australia, the US, Israel, etc) will have family in Canada. And they do, there’s a very good chance that they are in Toronto – and if yes again, then they are most likely to be in Thornhill – Canada’s mini-Joburg.

So, Shtetler Mick reported that the difference between Joburg’s high and Thornhill’s low on Tuesday was a whopping 55 degrees centigrade!

Of course, this was based on what to most of the world outside Africa is the commonly-used and far more accurate “feels-like” method of calculating weather in most foreign countries.
Joburg was at 28 but “felt-like” 30 while Thornhill was at -15 but “felt-like” -25 – hence Mick’s calculation of 55 degrees of difference.

So, is there anyone who “feels-like” swopping places?
