The kashrut department of the Johannesburg Beth Din has issued a kashrut notice this morning regarding three different products.

These are:

STAFFORDS DARK CHOCOLATE DISKS & CHIPS - which have been marked as Milchic but are actually Parev;

ILLOVO CHOCOLATE SAUCE - which has been marked Parev while it is actually Milchic; and

GOLDCREST ARTICHOKE HEARTS - which has been marked with an OK kosher logo (a Hechsher that would normally be recognised by the Beth Din) but was never certified by OK!

Kosher consumers should be on the lookout and keep these alerts in mind - as the Beth Din gives no indication that the products will be withdrawn or have a sticker placed over and correcting the erroneous markings or the OK logo.
