MyShtetl is giving away a stunning prize - the eight best seats in the house – worth a whopping R2800 - for the ORT Azey! Yiddish musical concert. That’s right, Shtetlers, eight of the best seats in the house.

So you don’t have to compromise. You can treat your family AND friends - like royalty - to this stunning performance. You will meet all the VIP’s and enjoy hospitality treats as well!

HOW CAN YOU ENTER our competition to win this great prize? Just ask! It's really as simple as that.

All you need to do is be a Shtetler – a registered user of MyShtetl – and receive our weekly newsletter*.

Simply go to the “Post New Comment” window below this page (while you are logged-in** as a user), post a comment telling us what you like best about MyShtetl, and you will go into our draw.

One lucky Shtetler who has posted their comment while logged-in will be drawn on Wednesday 9 March and will win this magnificent prize worth R2,800! The winner will be notified by e-mail immediately and wil be announced in our newsletter on Thursday 10 March.

That gives you a whole week to start inviting those you plan to spoil! And, as you had probably bought tickets already by then, you get to give those away as well! How’s that for a great prize?

Now, folks, don’t be technophobic. If you are not registered as a user and think you won’t be able to manage this simple process (see “Register Today” on top left of every page), simply ask anyone under 20 to help you, or click here info@myshtetl.co.za and send an e-mail to us. We will do it for you.

DON’T GET OUR NEWSLETTER?

O(r)t Azey! Pun intended.

O(r)t Azey! Pun intended. This is one exciting trio of My Shtetl, OrtJet and the Yiddish Song Festival which is associated with CJSA enhancing the quality of life for Cape Town's Jewish elderly population. I have seen first hand what they do and commend their amazing work. The combination and coordination of three important organizations is a gratifying and encouraging example to everyone how together we can achieve more.

Wishing you much hatzlocha!

myShtetl keeps me in touch

myShtetl keeps me in touch with the happenings in our community, They tell the news I want to know about, NOW.

I find "My Shtetl" most

I find "My Shtetl" most informative on a wide range of communal and general Jewish/Zionist issues, giving both secular and religious views without being partisan. Keep it up, may you go from strenth to strength

Thanks. But, see above, we can't enter you in the competition unless we know who you are and that you are a Shterler (registered user). You need to be logged-in and post this comment. If you either don't know your log-in or have forgotten your password, drop us a mail at info@myshtetl.co.za

The thing I like most about

The thing I like most about MyShtetl has to be the constant banter. As people have come out of the woodwork the debates have got wilder. We're not 'chirping' anymore, we're addressing real matters of concern and benefiting from such a wide range of ideas and opinions that we can help but be moulded and shaped a little.

Of course I would be remiss to mention that ChabadGirl's blogs are incredible. I just wish she'd post more. I miss the almost weekly thoughts she used to share. Trust me when I say I'm her #1 fan. Her shadow couldn't stalk her more closely!

I like the constand and up

I like the constand and up to date article that are both secular and religious

It's hard to pick just one

It's hard to pick just one favourite thing when everything about this website is awesome!

Right now, it's the job section because i'm looking for a new job and really hoping to get one within the jewish industry and you guys are the BEST for that.

Also love reading the uptodate news on what's happening in the world jew-wise.

It's also very nice when i'm looking for a restaurant's contact details etc.

So i guess what i'm trying to say is: I love that it's one website for everything Jewish! THANK YOU!

Ps: I would really love so so much to go see this show:)

I love the mix of both

I love the mix of both religious, local and international content.

Having only just registered

Having only just registered as a member as I used to receive bits and pieces from friends, I find the site most informative, useful and at times really amusing. MyShtetl has also brought some rather interesting to say the least, subjects out into the open and am finding that people are extremely vocal here. Great website. Please remain an independent entity!!!!
