C'mon, Shtetlers, let them know what you think of them!
These people call the
These people call the Israeli delegation propagandists. Despite the negative conotations of the label, in a way this label can be turned around and used to show the delegation in a constructive light- propagandists for Peace. That's what they coming to do, it's a bit corny but they are literaly and figuratively coming to build bridges on South African campuses. Let's support these brave Israeli students for attempting to bring some light to this dark debacle.
The irony is that the BDS (and cohorts)are describing themselves when attempting to negatively portray the Israeli delegation. BDS (and cohorts) have already publicly shown their colours as brazen propagandists, especially in their attempt to spread the controversial assertion that Israel is an apartheid state, passing it off as a given. BDS (and cohorts) have 'kindly' shared with South Africans a vile, biased smattering of the Israel/Palestine conflict...peace not mattering.
Well said Student! These
Well said Student!
These idiots forget our democracy was formed by debate and listening to each other. Cyril and Roelf worked closely despite coming from across a divide; as did many other politicians that were far more right and left of center to make South Africa work.
Name calling and shutting down the debate is ridiculous.
Never mind the utter arrogance at assuming their ignorance on the matters at hand are actually correct.
Apartheid was all about the "self-determination" euphemism. Palestinians want a Palestinian State with Moslems living in it and they want all Jews removed. Compare that to Israel which embraces anyone who wishes to live within it's borders, including those that oppose the government of the day. At the same time Palestinians wish to overwhelm Israel with "right of return" for generations of displaced Arabs simply to remove it's Jewish identity. They refuse to recognize a Jewish state while demanding a Moslem one.
While I understand the humanitarian issues involved, one has to question why the crisis exists in the first place. Arabs under Israeli rule do not seem to suffer at all, but those under the PA do. Why is that the case? Why does the World not see it is this that is perpetuated through the indoctrination of their children to hate Jews and Israel and through the corruption of the PA.
I support all initiatves the help to aleviate suffering of people anywhere. When I see people suffering to help some fat cat politicians and movements further a cause it makes me violently ill. "Palestinians" are people too.
We need to seperate the suffering from the homeland debate. Where are the vast sums of money the PA receives from all over the World, and from Israel, going if not to develop infrastructure and build a robust, stable society? It is well-known stable democracies are far more peaceful than dictatorships with the notable exception of those democracies that are threatened or attacked. In essence I think if the PA provided for their citizens properly their countrymen wouldn't even worry about Israel. Instead they're not provided for and indoctrinated into believing it is Jews that are doing it to them. Why does the World think Israel should provide anything for people who are hellbent on exterminating Jews and Israel.
The motive is to eradicate Israel, and it always has been. Let's stop debating the issue beyond the obvious.
They want to barrier wall/"apartheid wall" down simply because they don't like being unable to continue with the random suicide bombings they could so easily perpertrate becuase of it. I live in apartheid home to, apparently. I have locks on my doors and burglar bars so only my family can enter. There is even an alarm and armed response because I'm such a bigot that will not allow strangers in to rob or harm me and my children.
Blah blah blah. This senseless debate is tiring... I think Bibi is doing a great job getting these messages wider spread, but we need more. We need a marketing campaign too. Let's show the Fogels and the shot up families in the settlements. Let's show these morons what real atrocities look like! Maybe for a while they'll say it's because of Israel, but as time goes as it continues that will pretty much no longer be a sustainable argument.

This is just the same cloaked anti-Semitism it always has been!
