Our friends at Magen Security, who regularly ask us to tip off the community about dangerous situations, have asked us to publish a warning about free key holders being given out at petrol stations.

“I received this e mail and I have checked it is legit as I phoned C Track’s head office,” says Magen’s Martin Barnett.

The message reads:
“Urgent. Please do not accept FREE KEY HOLDERS at service stations. It has a tracker device in it by which you can be followed. This is happening already in Johannesburg and Durban.”

The original message was sent from Ctrack Fleet Management in Boksburg and Martin has called a contact at their head office to confirm the veracity of the message.
