In the last few days there has been somewhat of hiatus on the blogs for COP17. This has been caused by a number factors including technical issues, Shabbat, the official rest of the COP (on the Sunday) and a few others. Thankfully however you will have seen day 4 go up in the last couple of days and we are back in business for the rest of the event.

In between all the hussling, networking, negotiating and deal making the COP also allows for pieces of creativity to come to the fore. Just outside the COP is the South African Pavilion which is free and open to the public who would not otherwise have been able to participate. Music is a constant feature in this area with bands and choirs belting their best numbers to the approval of the ever-present crowd. Visitors can enjoy a drink on long wooden tables seated beneath a net with banana leaves hanging down from it. When the wind blows it moves like the ocean and looks for all the world like a giant sukkah.
More & more Shtetlers are following JNF-SA’s Benji Shulman’s blog from COP-17. His latest is an account of moving into the COP-space and we have pics of the great JNF booth as well. Remember that you can also tweet the COP SA and Israeli delegations too.
