Rosh Beth Din Rabbi Moshe Kurtstag this week thanked the staff at the Beth Din and Pick n Pay for their efforts in producing this year’s bumper PnP/UOS Pesach Guide which is expected to be available in PnP stores early next week.

The project was coordinated by Pick n Pay’s Marion Duncan. Beth Din Kashrut Director Robert Sussman says that “it was Marion’s idea to do the book in colour and to add recipes. She wanted the book to be something that people would keep.

This year’s book includes a Haggadah – which was Dir Sussman’s idea and about which Marion was very excited.

“From the Beth Din,” says Sussman, “the most involved person was Dayan Dovid Baddiel who edited the Halachic sections. Adele Joffe [Joburg Kashrut Dept] Kelly Levinthal [Cape Town Kosher] compiled the Beth Din Product Lists,” says Sussman.

Peter Mechanic researched and compiled the Medicines List and Dr. Darryl Hirschowitz researched and compiled the Pet Food List.

Rosh Beth Din Rabbi Moshe Kurtstag is full of praise for the dedicated work put in by the staff of Pick n Pay and the Kashrut Department.
